Generic Amoxil is a well-known penicillin antibiotic that is used for treating many types of infections that are caused by bacteria. These infections include pneumonia, bronchitis, tonsillitis, ear, throat, nose, skin, and urinary tract infection. The medication is sometimes used along with another antibiotic known as clarithromycin for treating stomach ulcers.
